What are the odds for England to win Euro 2024?

The European Championships are just around the corner and England head into the tournament as one of the favourites to lift the trophy. But what are the odds for England to win Euro 2024?

England are the joint-oldest national team in the history of the sport, having formed back in 1872. They play their home matches at Wembley Stadium in London and currently compete in three international competitions, the European Championships, the World Cup, and the Nations League.

The Three Lions have only ever lifted one major trophy, winning their home World Cup back in 1996, however, that makes them just one of eight national sides to have won the iconic competition. England are currently the only World Cup-winning side to have never won their respective continental title, but could that change in 2024?

What are the chances for England to win Euro 2024?

England are the bookies favourites to win Euro 2024 with odds of 4.25. The Three Lions are in Group C with Slovenia, Denmark and Serbia. However, they come into the tournament in patchy form, with recent draws against North Macedonia and Belgium, as well as a 1-0 defeat at home to Brazil. This summer could prove to be Gareth Southgate’s England swan song after eight years in the national hotseat and he will be looking to win his first piece of major silverware with the Three Lions.

England have a number of stars to watch out for in Germany this summer. Harry Kane comes into the tournament as the top European goalscorer this season in his debut campaign with Bayern Munich. Jude Bellingham has similarly taken to life at Real Madrid like a duck to water, while Phil Foden has enjoyed his most prolific season to date with Manchester City.

Throw in Arsenal duo Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka, as well as a number of other superstars including Kyle Walker, John Stones, Harry Maguire, Cole Palmer, Ollie Watkins, and Marcus Rashford, and England have arguably the strongest squad in Europe.

The chances of England winning Euro 2024 arguably come down to their style of play. With so much talent in the final third of the pitch and a lack of depth in central defence, it depends on how much freedom Gareth Southgate is willing to permit his attackers this summer. If they are allowed to run rampant, England will score goals for fun and odds of 4.00 could look very attractive for those looking to pick an outright winner.
