Odds on Czech Republic to win Euro 2024

What are the odds for Czechia to make the Euro 2024 quarter-finals?

The European Championships are just around the corner and Czechia will be hoping to fight their way through the knockouts. But what are the odds for Czechia to make the quarter-finals of Euro 2024?

The Czechia team was first formed in 1994 when Czechoslovakia split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia, meaning their first international tournament was the 1996 European Championships in England. And what a debut it was! The Czech Republic went all the way to the final but were denied a historic win by Germany.

Before the split, Czechoslovakia won the Euros in 1976 and finished second twice at the World Cup in 1934 and 1962. As the Czech Republic, they are yet to make it out of the group stages at the World Cup. In 2016, the Czech Republic officially changed its name to Czechia, which it now competes under at the European Championships. Check out more of the team’s odds and other odds on Euro 2024 in our sportsbook and make your predictions.

What are the chances for Czechia to win Euro 2024?

Czechia have been placed into Group F alongside Portugal, Georgia and Turkey. Portugal, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, are ranked as the sixth-best team in the world at the moment, and the fourth-best team in Europe. Czechia are currently down in 36th place, but that is still better than the majority of their Group F opponents. Turkey are four places below in 40th and Georgia are the lowest-ranked team at the tournament, all the way down in 75th! That means Czechia have a great chance of making it out of their group, either in second place or as a third-place qualifier. Who knows, maybe they can even challenge Portugal for the top spot!

Czechia come into Euro 2024 in pretty good form, having not lost a game since their 3-0 defeat to Albania back in October 2023. Since then, they have recorded victories over the Faroe Islands, Moldova, Norway and Armenia, as well as a 1-1 draw with Poland. Czechia have actually only lost once in their last 12 international fixtures. The one worrying fact is that the last time they faced Portugal in September 2022, Czechia lost 4-0 at home, which doesn’t bode well for their Group F hopes.

The majority of the Czechia squad play their club football back in their home country, with Slavia Prague and Viktoria Plzen well represented in the national team. However, Czechia do have some players plying their trade in the top five European leagues, most notably their captain, Tomas Soucek. Soucek plays in the Premier League for West Ham United and the 29-year-old offers vast experience in the middle of the pitch for his country. Bayer Leverkusen duo, Patrik Schick and Adam Hlozek could also prove a handful for opposition defences in Germany this summer, while Fiorentina’s Antonin Barak is one to watch in midfield.

Czechia currently have odds of 1.72 to qualify from Group F, 4.00 to make the quarter-finals, 13.00 to reach the semi-finals and 150.00 to go all the way and win Euro 2024 outright.
